Advantages and disadvantages
Das HOTELCAMP REINSEHLEN is a nature hotel with a camp-like character. This includes:
Content Blocks
The secluded location away from nearest town
Many of our guests choose to stay with us specifically because of the camp’s undisturbed, solitary setting. They appreciate the complete tranquility and seclusion it offers. Schneverdingen is a 6-minute drive (about 5 kilometers) from Reinsehlen. If you’re arriving by train, we’ll be happy to arrange a taxi from Schneverdingen station to the camp.
Fast alle Almost all rooms have a view of the Heath Grassland - a few do not
Of our 91 rooms, 81 offer a direct view of the open heath grassland (Magerrasenwiese); ten rooms do not. If this view is important to you, please let us know when booking. Or consider upgrading to one of our MehrBlick-rooms—these all feature panoramic views of the heath and the wide horizon.
The paths between the buildings
Some see them as an inconvenience, others welcome them as a chance to move, get some fresh air, and connect with fellow guests. You’ll find the locations of all buildings clearly marked on our camp map.
Rooms without minibar or air condition
Minibars and air conditioning units are significant energy consumers, so we’ve chosen to do without them. Instead, we’re happy to provide cooler boxes for chilled drinks. The large terrace doors allow for quick and efficient ventilation. During the peak of summer, we recommend keeping the curtains drawn while you’re out to help maintain a pleasant indoor temperature.
Die Boardwalks to the Lodge-roms
Access to the Lodge rooms is via wooden boardwalks made from sustainable local materials. They are part of what gives the rooms their distinctive lodge character. However, the boards can carry sound—such as from high heels or rolling suitcases. Your neighbors will appreciate a little extra consideration, especially if you’re checking out early in the morning.
Wellness yes - spa not quite
You’ll find many moments of wellness throughout the camp: napping in a hammock, evening walks in nature, watching the sunset, treating yourself to a yoga session, or relaxing by the fireplace. For physical and mental well-being, we also offer a Finnish sauna and a steam bath. However, you won’t find a whirlpool or swimming pool at the camp—our concept of wellness is a little more down to earth.
