"Heidschnuckenweg" (Moorland sheep path) - Certified hiking trail through the heath

This certified hiking path stretches from Fischbek near Hamburg to Celle in the Suedheide, over a length of 223 kilometers across the natural landscape of the Lueneburg heath And it connects the most beautiful sights. Diversified heath areas, marvellous cultural sites and idyllic heath villages are found along the way.
The highlight of the final stage is the residential city of Celle, in which the electors and kings of Hanover used to stay.

Hiking on the Heidschnuckenwanderweg is probably the best way to see the diversity of the Lueneburg heath area.
The way connects more than 30 heath areas.

Bicycle rental

You want to explore the beautiful environment by bicycle? We have rental bikes on site (also for larger groups upon request).

A cosy end of the day – our bonfire place near the hotel lobby is most suitable for this purpose.

Nordic Walking

On sign-posted Nordic Walking routes start directly from the hotel and walk over the heathland. Of course you may also borrow the requisite sticks from us.

High-rope course

More than 120 tasks, several rope slides and two free fall abseiling spots make a second or third visit most wanted.

On a total of 20 meters height, you have the option to climb on 5 levels. Spectators can reach the top view platform via the staircase or relax on the second level in 8 metres height on the great event platform in a deck chair.

This way, the spectators are right in the middle. The trainers instruct the climbers at eye-level. This facilitates quick intervention in case of crisis. With the security system climbers are always safely harnessed and disconnecting is not possible, whereas the way can be selected deliberately and climbers can also overtake each other.

The High-rope Course "Höhenwegarena" does not define a special order of obstacles, entering and exiting is possible at all times.

The obstacles are categorised by three different levels (black = difficult, red = medium, blue = easy).
The high-rope course is suitable not only for sportive persons but also for children and older people. As it is always possible to change the course at all times, jams are avoided.
