"I only take time to write reviews if I feel strongly one way or the other (i.e., good or bad). My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our short stay. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated in an open area where you have a chance to relax in a more natural/wilderness setting. The location, however, is also well connected by multiple ~4 km bike paths to the town of Schneverdingen (plus paths to other surrounding points of interest). I would strongly recommend that you rent bikes from the hotel and wander through the network of paths in the Lueneburger Heide (i.e. beautiful countryside that is covered in heather in early autumn). Although I mentioned the "wilderness setting" of this hotel, the facilities are far from an out-dated truck stop. Our room had a very modern feel with big windows to take in the beautiful surrounding view of the countryside. The entire hotel facility is surrounded by a boardwalk structure, which is where my girlfriend and I enjoyed a bottle of wine while listening to the wind rustle the leaves of the trees. The breakfast included in the stay was of very high quality in an elegant building just a short walk from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and they spoke English. If you are looking for a place in this area, I MOST DEFINITELY recommend staying here!!!"
